”I don’t allow myself to be vulnerable, I’m a survivor.”

Josée Butera was nineteen years old when she survived the unthinkable – the genocide against the Tutsi in Rwanda. In 100 days about one million people were slaughtered. It took Josée 25 years before she was able to tell the world her story. In the book, Rwanda – the Country That Was Reborn by Björn Sundeby, Josée shares her experiences from the genocide. She healed her soul by studying, getting herself an IT master’s degree at the Royal Institute of Technology in Sweden, to where she moved.
